Claudius Baisch studied Theatre Studies in his Bachelor's degree and Theatre Studies transcultural in his Master's degree at Leipzig University. During his studies he worked as a student assistant at the Centre of Competence for Theatre (CCT) at Leipzig University in the BMBF research project "Fremde Spielen. Materials on the History of Amateur Theatre" and as a research assistant in the BMBF research project "HeimatWeltBühne. Amateur Theater in Peripheral Areas of Eastern Germany." Since November 2023, he is a PhD student at the Institute of Theatre Studies at the University of Bern in the SNF-funded research project "History of Theatre Studies – Swiss/Austrian Networks and Contexts ". He researches on forgotten constellations and scholars in early theater studies and the importance of networks between Switzerland and Austria in the 1910s-1930s.
